Paris Fashion Week
I don’t know about you, but I get tired of fashion and media portraying only a part of what being a woman is: skinny and femenine, because no matter how they are dressed, everything is measured in terms of femenine and sexy. There is not only one way of being a woman nor only one way of existing. We are not either skinny or fat, masculine or femenine, the distance between them is a continuum and you can find thousands of possibilites and combinations along that line. There are skinny women out there, but there are maaany other types of women that lack representation. This obviously does not tackle the whole issue, but still, thanks Rick Owens for moving a step forward and giving us a broader picture of the diverse meanings of the term “woman”.
